Burgos and Zaragoza
Situated in the Pilgrim's Road to Santiago de Compostela, Burgos still preserves important vestiges of its medieval splendor.
The architectural masterpiece of Burgos is the cathedral. Erected on top a Romanesque temple, it is one of the most beautiful buildings in the Gothic art style and truly deserves the title of Heritage of Humanity.
Located on the banks of the mighty Río Ebro, halfway between Madrid and Barcelona Zaragoza (Saragossa) is a vibrant, elegant and fascinating city with its churches, museums, monuments, bridges, natural spaces and amazing hidden spots.
There are many reasons to come to Zaragoza but, maybe, the Basílica del Pilar, symbol of the city is the most important. This church is one of the most visited places of pilgrimage in all of Spain, consecrated to the "Holy Virgin of Pilar", patroness not only of this town but of all Spanish-speaking countries.
